I had such mixed feelings about my stay at Le Palais Paysan. On one hand, the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and the beautiful, well-maintained grounds were highlights. However, the service left much to be desired, as I faced long wait times during meals and issues with requests not being met. Despite the beautiful surroundings, the dining experience and interactions with the staff were frustrating at times.

My room was huge, stylishly decorated with lovely terraces that overlooked the amazing views. The comfort was high, although I did experience issues with the broken plumbing in the bathroom, which took away from the overall experience.

While some staff members were friendly and accommodating, I had a particularly frustrating encounter with the manager who dismissed my request regarding a bottle of wine that needed refrigeration. This experience was disappointing and felt very unwelcoming.

The serene and remote location made for a peaceful retreat, away from the hustle of Marrakech. However, the journey there was tricky due to the rough dirt roads, and I would recommend opting for an SUV if you're driving.

The menu could definitely be improved as it felt overly complicated with attempts at expensive western dishes. I did enjoy some of the Moroccan specialties, especially at breakfast where I had excellent pastries and fresh juices.

The facilities such as the stunning pool area and beautifully kept gardens were excellent for relaxation, but the Wi-Fi connectivity could have been better as I struggled to connect from my room.

My stay at Le Palais Paysan was a mixed bag. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in a serene setting with amazing views of the Atlas Mountains. The service, however, could use improvement; there were moments of unresponsiveness that detracted from the overall experience. While the food was generally good and offered a taste of authentic Moroccan cuisine, there were also some minor inconveniences that needed addressing. Overall, it was a pleasant retreat, but not without its flaws.
